Children’s Mental Health Week: A Celebration of Well-Being at OBS

To mark Children’s Mental Health Week, OBS put together a week with activities focus on improving awareness and understanding of children’s mental well-being, the initiative offered a variety of engaging activities designed to nourish young minds and promote positive mental health practices.

The week kicked off with an extra break time, allowing students to recharge and unwind. This simple yet effective measure highlighted the importance of taking time for oneself—an essential aspect of maintaining mental health. Students eagerly took advantage of this opportunity to socialise, play, and connect with their peers in a relaxed environment.

One of the standout moments of the week came with the visit of Rusty, a friendly spaniel known for his gentle nature. He brought joy to students of all ages!

The week also saw the creation of gratitude trees and mandalas of kindness, both of which encouraged students to express their feelings and appreciate the world around them; fostering a sense of community, empathy, and understanding within the school.
