The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations and Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of our school’s facilities and operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that our campus remains safe, functional, and conducive to high-quality learning, while driving strategic growth and development aligned with the school’s long-term objectives.

The Position 

This position has two roles. The first part of the role will be working within the Primary School, working with our youngest students to support their eating, playing and sleeping. You may also be asked to work within the Primary Section at the Primary Leadership Team’s discretion.

The successful candidate will be a great team player, with a genuine commitment to putting students first. They will be flexible and adaptable with excellent communication skills. Preferably they will have experience supporting students with a variety of needs and in a range of different environments including students new to English.

The second part to this role is the position of After School Care Supervisor. The school operates an After-school Care service for pupils who are not able to be met by their parents or guardians when their school lessons finish at the end of the school day.  The service operates daily from 3.30-6.30pm.

The Position

This is a Secondary post. Experience of teaching to school leaving age is essential and teaching of KS3 Science and Chemistry at the IB Diploma would be an advantage.

The Science department is currently made up of 9 teachers and is supported by 2 full-time laboratory technicians.

The Science curriculum includes the following IB Diploma Subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Systems and Societies, and Sports, Exercise and Health Science.

O Oporto British School, encontra-se neste momento a contratar uma Encarregada de Limpeza, para o campus escolar localizado na Foz do Douro, Porto.

A Encarregada de limpeza, terá como principais funções:

a) Chefia direta da equipa interna e apoio na organização das atividades da equipa de limpeza interna e externa;

b) Assegurar as escalas de trabalho, horário, atribuição de rotas e tarefas complementares (necessidades pontuais, limpezas gerais, etc.) aos elementos da sua equipa, validando o cumprimento dos planos de limpeza e higienização definidos e apoio à equipa sempre que necessário;

c) Garantir uma correta afetação e eficiência dos recursos humanos, equipamentos e consumíveis utilizados para as necessidades do serviço;

d) Gerir a equipa, garantindo o cumprimento dos procedimentos e instruções de trabalho existentes, gerindo os potenciais conflitos e sendo parte ativa na procura de soluções para os problemas identificados;

e) Zelar pelo bom estado de operação e manutenção dos equipamentos de limpeza existentes;

f) Responder de forma rápida e adequada a situações críticas que não estejam em conformidade com os requisitos de qualidade, ambiente e segurança instituídos;

g) Garantir uma adequada apresentação, arrumação e limpeza das áreas;

h) Participar na formação e enquadramento de novos profissionais;

i) Participar na manutenção e atualização do inventário dos equipamentos e produtos de limpeza, ou de outras tarefas administrativas de apoio à operativa;

j) Apoiar as diferentes equipas na preparação e montagem de eventos, bem como nas tarefas de limpeza e higienização após os mesmos.

Requisitos e Competências para a Função:

Disponibilidade para o exercício das funções no horário 10h-19h;

Atitude e Motivação – bom relacionamento interpessoal, responsabilidade, organização, agilidade e motivação;

Disponibilidade imediata (preferencial);

Conhecimento da língua inglesa (preferencial);

 Conhecimentos em informática (preferencial).

Habilitações Literárias:

12º Ano de Escolaridade (preferencial)

Experiência Profissional:

Experiência mínima de 5 anos na chefia de equipas de limpeza (preferencial)

Tipo de contrato:

Horário de trabalho a tempo completo (40 horas semanais e 8 diárias);

Contrato de um ano com possibilidade de renovação por tempo incerto;

Local e início de funções:

As funções serão desempenhadas nas instalações do Oporto British School, na Foz do Douro.
