This term, the Form 2 topic has been about ‘Belonging’. We have been thinking about where we have come from, the different units in which we belong and where others feel they belong too. This led us to look at homes around the world and why they may be built as such according to local materials, dwellers’ needs, the geography and weather. Our final project has been to fill a Memory Box. Through collaboration with home, the children have collected personal letters from family members all over the world, photos and memorabilia. In class, the children have been describing their current strengths and aspirations and advice for others in the future. This box is wrapped and ready to be stored safely at home with instructions to only open it when they are 21 or have a Form 2 child of their own!
