On Wednesday October 12th the Modern Languages Department celebrated the Día de la Hispanidad, marking the exact date when Christopher Columbus first set foot in the Americas, thus bringing two worlds together.
Students created posters on the theme of Hispanidad, mainly covering the world of Hispanic and Latin music from all over the world, which has become increasingly popular for its catchy melodies and rhythms. Even if you don’t understand the words, you can’t resist the urge to dance!
This was certainly the case at morning break and lunchtime, when everyone enjoyed the sunshine and dry weather to indulge in a little dancing to a playlist created by Form 12.
