Over the long weekend at the beginning of December a debating team of Gui Lopes, Isabela Quadros, Miguel Fu, Jack Graham and Joseph Vilar-King competed in the COBIS (Council of British International Schools) online debating championship. It was the first time that a team from OBS has entered, and we performed extremely well to win three out of our four debates against teams from Colombia, Venezuela and Nigeria. Well done to the team, who learned as they went through the competition, making their cases logically and adapting to the format increasingly successfully as the competition progressed. We hope other students will follow in their footsteps in future competitions.
