Three students participated in the ISMTF Senior Competition 2022, on Saturday 12th March.  This international competition involves the highest calibre of secondary school mathematicians, who are faced with a series of increasingly difficult problems to solve within a limited time.

In the morning, students took part in the individual rounds where they had a very positive and motivating experience.  Although the students did not finish in the top 20, they should be proud of themselves for accepting the challenge, and for giving their best efforts.

By the afternoon, the students really found their form in the team round.  It was lovely to see our team of students collaborating and engaging in meaningful mathematical discussion, to successfully solve some extremely challenging tasks.  In the team round, Oporto British School finished just outside the top 20, in 21st position (jointly with Dubai College and the British School of Milan), an excellent achievement!
