OBS hosted an exciting scholastic chess event that brought together over 100 participants from thirteen schools around Porto. The competition featured various age groups, including under 6, under 8, under 10, and an open division, ensuring a broad range of young chess enthusiasts could showcase their skills.

This event also marked the ten-year anniversary of the partnership between OBS and Escola Xadrez do Porto, highlighting a decade of collaboration and commitment to promoting chess in the community.

Each participant received a medal, recognising their effort and dedication to the game. Additionally, lucky draw prizes added an element of surprise and joy, making the event even more memorable for the young players.

OBS chess players performed exceptionally well, securing a commendable third place overall. Their success was a testament to their hard work and the quality of coaching they received. The event not only highlighted the talent within the OBS community but also fostered a spirit of camaraderie and healthy competition among the schools.
