The Position
The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for, together with external providers, ensuring the IT infrastructure is adequate, fit-for purpose and operational at all times, supporting the delivery of the school’s mission and activities. The role comprises maintaining and securing the school’s computer systems and networks, installing and configuring software and hardware, troubleshooting system and network problems, and providing technical support to end-users. The role also includes implementing and managing security measures, ensuring accurate asset management, and collaborating with other IT team members/providers to deliver high-quality IT services and improvements. In addition, the specialist will actively collaborate with the digital and technology review stakeholder to assess needs, align IT initiatives with strategic objectives, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school’s digital ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
1. User Support & Troubleshooting
- Act as first-line support for IT-related issues raised by students and staff.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems.
- Support business applications and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, Exchange, Google Classroom and other educational software, etc.).
2. System & Device Management
- Install, configure, and maintain school devices (PCs, laptops, mobile devices, printers, peripherals).
- Manage local endpoints in Entra, MDM, and EDR solutions.
- Configure and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows and macOS environments.
- Configure and support network services (DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP).
3. Infrastructure & Security
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks, ensuring connectivity and performance.
- Implement and manage security measures to protect systems and data.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control (Active Directory, LDAP, GPOs).
- Support remote access platforms and VPN connections.
4. Processes & Operations
- Support onboarding/offboarding processes including account setup, access rights, and equipment preparation.
- Monitor system performance and propose improvements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of systems, procedures, and IT assets.
- Contribute ideas for process optimization and quality improvement.
- Follow up on outstanding IT requests ensuring resolution within defined SLAs.
5. Additional Requirements
- Work closely with external consultants to implement and support projects.
- Support upgrades, migrations, and IT rollouts.
- Support the academic team in the implementation and adoption of new technologies and softwares.
- Ensure smooth integration and positive interpersonal relationships within the team.
- Stay up to date with new technologies, tools, and cybersecurity trends.
6. Qualifications & Skills
- Certificate/Diploma in IT Technician, Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT support or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft systems (Windows OS, Entra, Intune, 365, Exchange, Teams) and macOS support.
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting hardware, software, and networks.
- Knowledge of MS AD, LDAP, GPOs, file sharing, and access permissions.
- Familiarity with networking (TCP/IP, switching, routing, DHCP, DNS).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office troubleshooting and user support.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Experience with educational environments is valued.

The Position
This is a Secondary post. Experience of teaching to school leaving age is essential and IBDP Physics or Chemistry teaching experience is preferred.
The Science Department at OBS
The Science team is made up of 9 teachers and 2 full-time technicians. The Science department offers 5 popular subjects at IB Diploma level: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Systems and Societies, and Sports, Exercise and Health Science.

The Position
This position has two roles. The first part of the role will be working within the Primary School, working with our youngest students to support their eating, playing and sleeping. You may also be asked to work within the Primary Section at the Primary Leadership Team’s discretion.
The successful candidate will be a great team player, with a genuine commitment to putting students first. They will be flexible and adaptable with excellent communication skills. Preferably they will have experience supporting students with a variety of needs and in a range of different environments including students new to English.
The second part to this role is the position of After School Care Supervisor. The school operates an After-school Care service for pupils who are not able to be met by their parents or guardians when their school lessons finish at the end of the school day. The service operates daily from 3.30-6.30pm.
