We are looking for Teaching & Learning Assistant to join an excellent team to offer classroom, individual and small group support to students. You will be a great team player, with a genuine commitment to putting students first. Preferably you will have experience supporting students with a variety of needs and in a range of different environments. 

We have 2 vacancies, one for EAL and Upper Primary and the other for EYFS (Pre-Prep).

O Oporto British School, encontra-se neste momento a contratar um/a Técnico/a de Manutenção de Edifícios em regime de part-time, para o seu campus escolar localizado na Foz do Douro, Porto.

O/a Técnico/a de Manutenção, terá como principais funções:

a) Assegurar atividades de manutenção de baixa complexidade e pequenas reparações em edifícios e respetivos equipamentos de suporte, através do cumprimento dos planos de manutenção preventiva e corretiva;

b) Apoiar na instalação e manutenção das infraestruturas (rede elétrica, climatização, mobiliário, iluminação, entre outras) e acompanhar as entidades externas de prestação de serviços de manutenção;

c) Apoiar nas tarefas de logística, transporte de bens e equipamentos, e preparação de eventos.

Requisitos e Competências para a Função:

-Experiência mínima de 1 ano em manutenção geral de edifícios e equipamentos;

-Conhecimentos de eletricidade, carpintaria, e serralharia (mandatório);

-Horário em part-time (16h-20h – horário preferencial);

-Disponibilidade em regime de prestação de serviços.

Habilitações Literárias:

-12º Ano de Escolaridade ou curso técnico-profissional em áreas técnicas (electricidade/mecânica).

The Position

This is a Secondary post. Experience of teaching to school leaving age is essential and teaching of the IB Diploma would be an advantage. Due to changes within the department, we are looking to recruit an outstanding native Portuguese teacher to deliver Portuguese as a First and Second Language to Key Stages 3 to 5, with the ability to offer Portuguese History to the level of 3.º ciclo do ensino básico. Student achievement is above international benchmarks, and the department has a strong profile across the school. You will be a highly effective and dynamic classroom teacher, with a genuine commitment to putting students first. The Position

The Senior Admissions Officer reports to the Business Manager and will be responsible for coordinating key admissions activities and restructuring all departmental processes, providing a first-class service to prospective parents and pupils.

The Admissions process is a fundamental part of projecting the school and must reflect strong customer relations and organisation. As such, it must cater to the fullest range of family backgrounds, circumstances, and conditions. It must be seen to be straightforward, efficient, organised and friendly, bringing together disparate elements of the school and outside community and managing expectations where waiting lists are involved or concerns registered. 

The Senior Admissions Officer must be entirely fluent with the school’s admissions policies and processes, and must keep all stakeholders, prospective parents, interviewers, Middle and Senior Leaders fully informed of the various stages of entry for different year groups. The importance of the role and its impact on the organisation, as well as the size of the structure, will require both a strategic and operational approach while performing the role.
